every girl love a pedicure

Turman Capote introduced post modernism woman Holly Golightly, the dysfunctional all American country girl gone city slick. Holly was a girl who was way ahead of her time, but she had the free spirit that all conservative American girls want. She coined the term the "mean reds", what we like to call "one of those days". Her idea of suppressing her reds was by window shopping at the upscale acrostic Tiffany's on 5th Avenue in New York. We should as ourselves what do we do these days when we are having the "mean reds". Should we sit in front of our couch and watch all the stay at home mom television line up with a tub of ice cream or should we put on our heels and take a trip to our local Tiffany's.

In this day in age we see women reach phenomenal heights, but yet so confined by the invisible glass ceiling. Worse yet what about those free spirited women who want to rebel against all social norms and just live life freely, they are labeled as unmarked goods. Why must there be a barrier of genders. As intelligent as out species is on the evolutionary hierarchy I question the validity of our existence. By having opposable thumbs entitle us the right to build concrete jungles and dwell a submissive life to the corporate Gods? How are we any different than the animal kingdom? Unfortunately I wonder where I fall in this span of 9 billion homo sapiens sapiens.

those days

when did things get so complicated
those days of colored paper and safety scissors

when did things spiral down the tunnel
those days of milk cartons and carrots sticks

when did a split decision change your life
those days when playing in the sand never ended

when did judgement determine our personalities
those days of miss matched tops and bottoms

when did the 8-5 lifestyle incorporate itself into our lives
those days of early morning cartoons and bedtime stories

when was innocence lost
and
those days of adulthood begin

those days long agp, when did they go away in the wind

Dear Fate,
Why do you make my life complicated in which it causes much stress and unhappiness. To top that off it makes me bald. I do not appreciate this, please stop. I am asking nicely for my sanity to make this madness end. I would like you to hound on some other defenseless soul and let me be.
Thank You
Bye
